Anion exchange membrane used in water electrolysis for green hydrogen production equipment

In order to realize a hydrogen society, there are high expectations for an anion-exchange membrane hydrogen production system that is less costly than the conventional method. We are developing a new anion-exchange membrane (AEM) that achieves both high conversion-efficiency and high durability.

Catalysts that contribute to a decarbonized society

Technologies needed to realize a decarbonized society, such as fuel cells and water electrolysis, use expensive and scarce precious metals. In collaboration with AZUL Energy Co., Ltd., we are working to develop alternative catalysts for precious metal that have organic based dye-structure at the center of activity and are superior in terms of cost, performance, and durability.

Biomass epoxy resins

Nippon Kayaku offers high-performance epoxy resins with unique structures and characteristics as materials for the electric and electronics fields. Currently, we are working to develop new biomass epoxy resins with excellent heat resistance and reliability oriented toward carbon neutrality.
